Instructions for use KaVoLUX 540 LED U / T
10 Specifications on the electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with EN 60601-1-2 | 10.4 Recommended pro-
tective clearances between portable and mobile HF telecommunication devices and the KaVoLUX 540 LED
above, the KaVoLUX 540 LED should be monitored to demonstrate proper func-
tion. Additional measures could be required if unusual performance character-
istics are observed, for example, a change in alignment or a different location of
the KaVoLUX 540 LED.

In the frequency range from 150 kHz to 80 MHz, the field strength should not
exceed 3 V

10.4 Recommended protective clearances between
portable and mobile HF telecommunication devices and
the KaVoLUX 540 LED
The KaVoLUX 540 LED is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in
which the HF interference parameters are controlled. The client or the user of
the KaVoLUX 540 LED can help to prevent electromagnetic interference by
maintaining the minimum clearance between portable and mobile HF telecom-
munication devices (transmitters) and the KaVoLUX 540 LED depending on the
output, as defined below.
The table shows the necessary safe distance (d) depending on the transmission
frequency in metres:

For transmitters whose maximum rated power is not included in the above
table, the recommended safe distance d in metres (m) can be calculated using
the equation for the respective gap, where P is the maximum rated power of
the transmitter in Watts (W) according to the manufacturer's information.
Comment 1:
At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
Comment 2:
These guidelines may not be applicable in all situations. The spread of electro-
magnetic waves is absorbed and reflected by buildings, objects, and people.
