Repeating Defects
Marks that recur uniformly:
1. Once every page
2. Every 3.66 inches (93mm)
3. Every 2.5 inches (64mm)
Common Causes
The Print Drum is scratched or
damaged.
The Print Drum charger is dirty.
The Print Drum charger cleaner is
mislocated.
The Print Drum is scratched or
damaged.
There is toner on the Fuser
Rollers.
The Fuser cleaner is improperly
installed.
There is toner on the Grounding
Roller.
Print Quality Problems
Potential Remedies
Remove and inspect the Print
Drum. Replace it if any scratch or
damage is visible.
Clean the Print Drum Charger.
Make sure the Print Drum
charger cleaner is seated all the
way to the left.
Remove and inspect the Print
Drum. Replace it if a scratch or
damage is visible.
To clean up any residual toner,
run a blank sheet of paper
through the printer.
Reinstall the Fuser cleaner
assembly.
Clean the Grounding Roller.
