Setting up and using PRI ( ISDN 30 )

When the system is equipped with a PRI interface module it provides additional line capacity to
the user. A PRI module provides up to 12 ISDN channels to be used by the system, the
programming and set up options available on the PRI is described below.

PRI Channel Programming

This allows the user to programme the number of channels available to the system.
• From the Programming Extension, press the PROGRAMME Key
• Press the Scroll Down Key ( ) until 'System programming' is displayed.
• Select 'System programming'.
• Enter the System Programming Password and select 'Lines'.
• Press the Scroll Down Key ( ) until 'PRI Programming' is displayed.
• Select 'PRI programming'
• Select "No. of B channels" option.
• The current setting is displayed on the screen for 2 seconds.
• Enter the required number and press "Confirm".
Press the Hands-free Key to finish programming.
Line Programming Changes when a PRI module is
equipped
When a PRI module is equipped the following 'Line Programming' options are modified.

Note: When a system is equipped with a PRI module, the PRI Access does not appear in the
equipped lines menu, however any additional PSTN or ISDN2 lines will appear here. Their line
numbers are 31 to 34 for PSTN lines and Access 1 to 2 for ISDN2 lines.

Incoming Ringing / Auto Attendant / Courtesy Service

If a PRI Access and no backup lines are installed then the Incoming Ringing is programmed as
follows:
• From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAMME key.
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
• Select "System Programming".
• Enter the System Programming Password and select "Lines".
• Select "Incoming Ringing" option.
• The menu updates to show only the 'PRI' option
• Select 'PRI Access'
• Select "Day", "Night", or "Day and Night".
• If the line is to ring an individual extension, select "Extension" and then the required
extension. If the line is to be presented to a group, select "Group" and then the required group.
• Auto Attendant or Courtesy Service can also be associated with the call
Press the Hands-free key to finish programming.
