Mains cable:
the measurement must be taken from the ground conductor contact of the mains plug
to a reliable grounding point on the device (e.g. bare area on the cover under the rear
of the housing)
-
While this measurement is being carried out, mains cables should be bent, flexed
and twisted along their entire length so that any breaks in the ground conductor
can be detected.
-
Pay special attention to the points where the cables enter the housing
Device:
measured from the mains cable ground conductor contact or a reliable grounding
point to the gas solenoid valve.
The highest measured value must be entered in the test record
(1)
WARNING! The test voltage is 500 V DC. Do not touch the test piece during the
test!
Ensure that the capacitors between primary and earth are no longer charged after
the test. If necessary, discharge the capacitors using a suitable resistor, e.g. 10
k / 5 W
-
The ground conductor resistance must
not exceed 0.3  (for mains cables up
to 5 m in length; extra 0.1  for every
additional 7.5 m; max. 1 
-
All housing components must be fitted
-
The measuring current must be at least
200 mA (recommendation: 10 A)
