3.3.2 CPA−SC valve terminal with pressure zone separation
Festo P.BE−CPASC−EN en 0808c
The CPA−SC valve terminal can be operated with maximum
2 pressure zones. These pressure zones are formed by
separating elements which can be inserted in the supply
channel (1) and in the exhaust channels (3 or 5).
Note
Valves which control large−volume actuators should be
·
operated in a separate pressure zone. You will then
avoid problems with backpressure in the exhaust
channels (3) and (5).
If the CPA−SC valve terminal is also fitted with other valve
·
plates, operate the valve plates with Ident. code I
(2 x 2/2−way valves) in a separate pressure zone with
separate exhaust channel (5).
Note
Note that due to the separator element in the following
valve locations, the valve plates have up to 20 % less flow:
the valve location with the fixing pin
and the two neighbouring valve locations.
Note also that even with pressure zone separation, chan
nels (12/14) and (82/84) are not blocked. Pilot control,
whether with internal or external pilot air, is always
branched or supplied centrally.
