1) AUTOMATIC TONER REPLENISHMENT (ATR) SUBASSEMBLY
The ATR Subassembly checks the developer density and initiates toner replenishment when-
ever the density falls below a certain level. Fig. 4-36 depicts the main components of this
subassembly.

The ATR Subassembly operation is divided into two areas —mechanical and electronic. In this
section only the mechanical operation will be explained. For information about the electronic
