2.4 OUTLINE OF THE DRIVE SYSTEM
In the NP-70 copier, main drive operations (such as the rotation of the drum, the reciprocation of
the copyboard, and the feeding of copy paper) is powered by the main motor. This motor is
located on the right lower portion of the rear mounting plate of the copier frame. The operation
of these copier mechanisms is synchronized with the revolution of the main motor to ensure that
copies are made with the image position the same as that on the original.
