The copy paper which is fed by the paper feeding mechanism is conveyed by the Copy Con-
veying Assembly. The copy conveying drive mechanism functions to drive the separation
roller and the delivery rollers of the Copy Conveying Assembly. The driving force is provided
by the drum gear (which is engaged with the separation gear) each time the drum operates.

The visible toner image on the drum surface is transferred to the paper by the transfer corona
and, then, the paper is separated from the drum and fed to the heater.

The heater plate, which is maintained at 180° C ± 5°C, dries and fixes the toner image to the
paper.

The paper, which has passed over the heater plate, is fed to delivery rollers 1 & 2 where any
remaining electrical potential on the paper is neutralized by the residual charge eliminator.

The finished printed copy, then, drops neatly onto the copy tray.
