Section 2 SMT-200 Operations
Checks that all keys are functioning correctly. When
a key is pressed the corresponding block displayed
on the screen is shown in reverse video. Pressing
the same key again will remove the reverse video
block. Test all keypad keys in this manner. To quit
this test, press the 0 and
same time.
All display screen pixels are blacked to check
operation. Exit test by pressing any key.
Display backlight is turned on and off at half second
intervals. Exit test by pressing any key.
Contrast steps through each contrast step (0..15)
and displays the current setting. Exit test by
pressing any key.
Loudspeaker is driven with a frequency scaling
continually from 100 to 6000 Hz and with the
Frequency displayed. Exit test by pressing any key.
Rx and Tx lines are linked together and a
communications test run. If successful Ok is
displayed and with a failed test Nok.
SMT-200 internal temperature is continually
measured and displayed. Exit test by pressing any
key.
SMT-200 external temperature probe is continually
measured and displayed. If no probe is connected
message n/a is displayed. Exit test by pressing any
key.
Battery voltage is monitored and displayed together
with the Low bat. Shutdown status. Ok is displayed
if the battery voltage is higher than 10.7 volts and
Low if below. Press any key to exit test.
Internal reference resistor (499Ω 0.01%) and a
reference resistor connected to the geophone input
are measured and their values displayed.
Enter this sub menu to perform sine wave tests.
