(Pos. 3.3) - Automatic change of scale 1 and 2 [Autorange=ON/OFF]
The flow meter has two display ranges and can be used for different process conditions. This parameter switches the function On and Off.
The display range FS2 must be selected for a greater display range than FS1. Function: If the flow rate exceeds 100 % of the display range
FS1, then a switch is made to the display range FS2. If the flow rate is reduced to below 90 % of the FS1, then a switch is made to this.
The actual full scale range corresponds with the display rate and the current output!
Menu 4 - Alarm
(Pos. 4.4) - Current output in case of a fault [mA VAL.FAULT. =% XXX]
This parameter defines the output value for the current output in case of a fault. Faults are considered to be an empty tube, interruption
of exciter coils and ADC faults (hardware faults). The value range is 0 - 120 % from 0 - 20 mA and is independent of the chosen current
range 0 - 20 mA or 4 - 20 mA. The value 120 % corresponds to 24 mA. The NAMUR NE43 recommendations specify the alarm threshold
values as <3,6 mA (<18 %) and >21 mA (>105 %). Recommendation: Set parameter 'mA VAL.FAULT%' to 10 %, this corresponds to 2
mA in case of a fault. This value can be evaluated as
follows:
- Current <2 mA - 5 %: line disruption, fault in the power supply or in the transducer
- 2 mA -5 % ≤current ≤2 mA + 5 %: hardware alarm
- 4 mA ≤current ≤20 mA: normal operating range
- 20 mA <current ≤22 mA: outside measuring range, overflow
(Pos. 4.5) - Frequency in case of a fault [HZ VAL.FAULT=% XXX]
This parameter defines the output frequency for the frequency output in case of a fault. Faults are considered to be an empty tube, inter-
ruption of exciter coils and ADC faults (hardware faults). The value range is 0 - 125 % from the final value 100 % flow rate.
- 0 % Hz ≤Frequency ≤100 % FS: Normal operating range
- 100 % FS. < Frequency ≤110 %: Outside of operating range, overflow
- 115 % FS. * Frequency ≤125 %: Hardware alarm
Menu 6 Outputs
(Pos. 6.1) - Function assignment digital output 1 [Out1=XXXXXX]
This parameter defines the function for digital output 1. The available assignments are shown in the table below.
(Pos. 6.2) - Function assignment digital output 2 [Out2=XXXXXX]
This parameter defines the function for digital output 2. The available assignments are shown in the table below.
Possible assignments for digital outputs 1 and 2
