The standard of upper thread tension should be 59g to 67g when pulling the thread (cotton
thread # 50) in the direction of A when Pattern No. 1 is selected.

Adjusting Needle Thread Tension

1. Turn the Power ON and select the pattern No.1
and press the Needle Up/Down button twice.
2. Press "Adjust Key" and set the thread tension
at "3.4" on the touch panel.
3. Open the face cover and adjust the thread
tension.
(A) To loosen the tension...... turn the screw
(B) To tighten the tension...... turn the screw

Pull the #50 cotton thread in the direction of the
arrow.
