6. Calibration
Offset adjustment of MAP Check 900X-2 can be carried out (using 20.946% O
Mon for Windows". If further calibration is required the device must be forwarded to an
authorised service workshop.
This section mainly deals with MAP Check 900X-1 and MAP Check 9001-4, which can be
calibrated by means of the operating interface.
Apart from atmospheric air up to four calibration gases can be used for calibration.
Calibration must (to the widest possible extent) be carried out using the same measuring
gas hose connections as those subsequently used for measurement. If offset adjustment
has been carried out after the last calibration, calibration of the MAP Check 9000 must
always be carried out again, i.e. the device must first be calibrated by means of 20.946% O
If an offset adjustment has been carried out and an attempt is made to calibrate by means
of a different gas than 20.946%, message
is presented.
When calibration is carried out using 20.946 %O
20.946 %O
between the latest and the previous 20.946 %O
carried out, it will be reset. After calibration by means of 20.946%, the device is calibrated by
means of the required calibration gases. See below.
Apart from calibration by means of 20.946% O
Check 9000 by means of at least two gases in the area in which measurement shall
subsequently be carried out. The gases used for calibration should represent each its side of
the area in which measurement will subsequently be carried out.
If the conditions in connection with normal measurement are not the same as during
calibration (length of measuring gas hose, etc.), it should be checked - after calibration and
after fitting the correct measuring gas hose - that 20.9% is measured with atmospheric air at
the measuring point.
If this is not the case, an offset adjustment must be carried out (20.9%).
IMPORTANT! MAP Check 9000 must have been warmed up for at least four hours before
calibration can be carried out.
6.1. Calibration
The following procedure must be followed in order to calibrate the MAP Check 9000:
1. Before calibration it must be ensured that the pump can be started by means of
that the pump is not started/stopped by an external pump control signal during
calibration. It is possible to select manual pump control alone by setting the last digit in
PA.1
(parameter No. 1) in the setup menu to "

2. Establish a gas overflow to which at least 3 l of calibration gas is supplied per min. When
calibrating by means of 20.9% it must be ensured that measurements are only made on
atmospheric air (let the measuring gas hose hang freely away from all gas supplies).
