4.1. Starting up
MAP Check 9000 starts with a self-test which takes approx. 10 seconds. The self-test is
followed by a 20 minute warm-up period. If MAP Check 9000 has only been switched off for
a short while, the warm-up time is reduced. The minimum warm-up time is 3 minutes.
The remaining warm-up time in minutes is shown in the display as
this value reaches zero, MAP Check 9000 is ready.
On MAP Check 900X-2 the heating process is indicated by the front-mounted LED ("Power
ON") flashing slowly. When the analyser is ready the LED is constantly lit.
After the 20 minute warm-up period MAP Check 9000's max. indication error is 3% of the
reading. Not until after a total warm-up time of 40 minutes will the error indication be below
1% of the reading as specified.
If the pump was running when MAP Check 9000 was switched off, the pump is automatically
started when the warm-up period is over. If external pump control has been selected, the
pump will start if the pump control signal is high.
