ADJUSTING THE RIVING KNIFE

1 The riving knife has to be adjusted in
such a way that the distance between
riving knife and teeth of the saw-blade is
between 3 and 8 mm (Fig. 22).
2 During cutting the riving knife has to be
in the most forward position).
Only for drop-in cuts the riving knife can
be pulled back. Afterwards, put the riving
knife back in the most forward position.
