Problem
The hotplate does not function. Fault in the appliance.
Water is flowing out of the
appliance.
The pressure locking handle
of the appliance cannot be
opened.
Steam constantly escapes from
the steam outlet, even though
the steam pressure function is
switched on.

Cause
The hotplate is damaged.
The appliance features overflow
protection.
The condensation tank is full and
overflowing.
Food is obstructing the over-
pressure lock and the pressure
locking handle is blocked.
The valve plug is not properly
placed on the valve.
This is not an error. The steam is
released automatically.
Pressure locking handle closed
(N) for a preparation pro-
gramme without steam pressure
function.
Pressure locking handle
open (M) for a preparation
programme with steam pressure
function.
Fault in the appliance.
Incorrect pan inserted or pan not
recognised.
The steam pressure function
does not work properly.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Contact customer service.
Remove water from condensation tank.
Remove the pan and use a cloth to rub
the appliance interior dry. Ensure that
no water enters the appliance interior.
Check whether all pressure has been
released from the interior. Press the
steam release button again for this
purpose. Then carefully press the
manual lock for overpressure protection
down with a sharp-pointed object (e.g.
toothpick). If the problem persists,
contact customer service.
Disconnect the appliance from the
power supply and allow to cool down.
Remove the steam outlet and place
valve plug properly on the valve.
Wait until the steam has been released
completely or release steam manually.
Open pressure locking handle (M) to
deactivate the steam pressure function.
Close the pressure locking handle
(N) to activate the steam pressure
function.
Abort the preparation programme. Dis-
connect the appliance from the power
supply. Switch the appliance on again. If
the problem persists, contact customer
service.
Insert the pan properly. If the display
persists for more than 20 seconds, dis-
connect the appliance from the power
supply and contact customer service.
Disconnect the appliance from the
power supply and restart. If the problem
persists, contact customer service.
