• Remove paraffin residues with a dry cloth.
• After such a cleaning procedure in an oven, always be sure to lubricate the axle and spring of the
clamping lever

instrument for service and repair!

The instrument is basically maintenance-free. To ensure trouble-free operation of the instrument over a
long period of time, the following is recommended:
• Have the instrument checked at least once a year by a qualified service technician authorized by
Leica.
• At the end of the warranty period, enter into a service contract. For more information, please contact
your local Leica technical service center.
• Clean the instrument every day.
