Switch the unit on
with the main switch (1) located on the rear side of the
unit.
The unit is ready for operation.
The unit version is displayed.
There is no product-specific training necessary.

After you switch on the unit, a splash screen (A) is dis-
played.
PERIO 3
When you press a key or remove the handpiece from its
100%
holder, the following screen (B) appears.
At the same time, the detection mode is activated for a
PerioSonic handpiece with a SIROPERIO 4 PS or SIRO-
PERIO PE8 tip inserted.
Manual adjustment
• Preselect the rinsing medium supply by pressing
one of the keys on the left side, i.e., small tank (14),
large tank (15) or fresh water (16).
The selected option is indicated by a bar that lights
up on the display (12) next to the respective key.
The selected tank is illuminated from below. You can
switch off the rinsing medium supply by pressing the

active rinsing medium preselection key (14, 15 or
16) again. The indicator bar then disappears
(e.g. when using the CEM tip).
• Preselect the abrasive power in % by pressing one
of the keys in the bottom row of keys (17).
The preselected power value is indicated digitally on
the display (12).
Changing the abrasive power
The abrasive power can be changed in increments
of 1 %.
Increase: Press and hold the preselection key of the
preselected value or a higher value.
Decrease: Press and hold the preselection key of a
lower value.
