Removing and Installing Button Labels

Making Labels Using the Button-Label Generator Program

The Button Label Generator creates labels that you can place in the translucent covers of
the input and output selection buttons. You can create labels with names, alphanumeric
characters, or even color bitmaps for easy and intuitive input and output selection (see
Installing Labels in the Buttons
replacing the translucent covers).
Installing the Button Label Generator software
The Extron Button Label Generator is available on the Extron website, www.extron.com,
under the
download and install the program on your PC.
Connect the terminal lugs on the replacement cable to the terminal block inside the
matrix switcher power distribution box (see figure 46 on the next page).

NOTE: Figure 46 also specifies the wire gauge and ring terminal and ground stud
sizes.
Replace the power distribution box cover and secure it in place with the screw removed
in step 6.
Replace the power distribution box in the matrix switcher and secure it in place with the
two screws removed in step 5.
Fasten the chassis ground strap to the ground stud with the nut removed in step 4.
Orient the fan assembly so that the fans are on the underside and the board power
connector is to the left. Align the board edges with the board guides in the cabinet and
slide the fan assembly into place.
Replace the lower panel and secure it in place with the 15 screws removed in step 2.
