fully assembled and installed according to the instructions.
2. IF YOU ARE NOT fully conversant with the operation of the
sander, ask another qualified colleague.
3. NOTE: This machine is solely designed for the sanding of wood
and wood-like products. Sanding or grinding of other materials can
cause fire, personal injury or material damage.
4. ALWAYS WEAR protective glasses
5. THIS MACHINE is only intended for indoor use.
6. IMPORTANT: Only assemble and use this machine on horizon-
tal surfaces. Using the machine on a non-horizontal surface may
damage the motor.
7. IF THERE IS A DANGER that the machine may overturn or
move during specific operations, such as sanding long or heavy
boards, the machine must be properly fastened on a support sur-
face.
8. CHECK that the sanding belt runs in the right direction. See the
direction arrow on the back of the belt.
9. CHECK that the sanding belt runs correctly to ensure it does not
jump off of the sanding rollers.
10. CHECK that the sanding belt is not worn or loose.
11. HOLD the workpiece firmly while sanding.
12. ALWAYS USE the fence when the belt sander is used in the
horizontal position
13. ALWAYS HOLD the workpiece firmly on the table when
sanding with the disc.
14. ALWAYS SAND on the disc's downward-directed side when
using the machine's disc section, so that the workpiece is held
securely on the table. Sanding on the disc's upward-directed side
can result in the workpiece flying upwards, which may be hazar-
dous.
15. ALWAYS MAINTAIN a gap of at least 1.5 mm between the
table or fence and the sanding belt or sanding disc.
16. NEVER WEAR gloves and never hold the workpiece with a
cloth while sanding.
17. SAND with the grain of the wood.
18. NEVER SAND a workpiece that is too small to support
securely.
19. AVOID uncomfortable positions of the hands where a sudden
movement may result in the hand coming into contact with the
sanding belt or disc.
20. WHEN SANDING a large workpiece, use extra support at
table height.
21. NEVER SAND without supporting the workpiece. Support
the workpiece with a fence or table. The only exception is curved
workpieces that are processed on the outer sanding roller.
22. ALWAYS REMOVE waste pieces and other objects from the
table, fence or belt before you switch "ON" the machine.
23. NEVER CARRY OUT assembly or installation work on the
table while the sander is working.
24. Always "SWITCH OFF" the machine and unplug the power
cord from the mains socket before fitting or dismantling acces-
sories.
25. NEVER LEAVE the machine's working area when the power
is switched "ON" or before the machine has come to a complete
standstill.
