Manual switching on
Automatic switching on, after switching off the ig-
nition
For vehicles with manual transmission, the parking
brake is automatically switched on after switching
off the ignition.
The function is activated or deactivated as follows in
the Infotainment system.
Tap the outside .
By moving your finger sideways, choose the screen
with the menu item Brakes .
Select menu item Brakes and activate or deactivate
the function.
NOTICE
Risk of vehicle damage!
Switch off the parking brake in situations when
rolling the vehicle is required.
Automatic shutdown
The parking brake switches off automatically when
starting up.
If there is an automatic shutdown e.g. to prevent
starting on a slope, keep pulling the button

✓ Driver's door is closed, in some cases, the driver's
seat belt is also fastened.

not a defect.
The vehicle battery is discharged, the parking
brake cannot be switched off
Connect the vehicle battery to a power source,
such as the battery of another vehicle.

Usage
Auto Hold automatically secures the vehicle from
rolling away when stopped.
Functionality
WARNING
Risk of accident!
Auto Hold is not able to stop the vehicle under all cir-
cumstances, such as on slippery ground, or on gradi-
ents.
Pull on the button
and hold it.
The vehicle starts to
brake strongly and an
audible signal is emit-
ted.
