 Screw the 4 vibration dampers [1] to the mounting
tracks with the supplied cap nuts.
 Install the device and locate it horizontally at the
installation location. Make sure that it is securely
located on the vibration dampers.
 Provide spacers to compensate for any unevenness
in the floor.
 Connect ventilation ducts to the ventilation box on
the exhaust air and outgoing air sides. Use an ELR
flexible fixing cuff on both the suction and pressured
air side, to avoid the transmission of vibrations to the
duct system.

left/right
 Installation of the ventilation box as described in
Chapter 8.2. In this case however, install both
mounting tracks [2] in positions "B" or "C":
Air outlet to the left = Pos. B / to the right = Pos. C.

8.4 Installing the weather protection roof

If the EKR ventilation box is to be installed outdoors,
the WSD 20-40 Weather protection roof must be
installed.
 Screw the weather protection roof firmly to the
4 installation positions on the service door, with the
mounting material supplied.

8.5 Electrical connection

Danger to life from electric shock.
 Switch the mains fuse off.
 Position a warning notice to avoid the
DANGER
unit being switched back on.
NOTICE
Danger of short-circuits caused by
damp if the connection cables are not
inserted correctly into the terminal
box.
 Feed the connection cables into the
housing through the PG screw-
connections. Ensure that the rubber
seals fit tightly round the cables.
NOTICE
Voltage controllable fans are allowed
to be used in continuous operation
with a minimum of half of the nominal
voltage. If this is not complied with, it
can cause damage to the motor unit.

Damage to unit when connecting
ATTENTION
without a protection device (engine
damage).
 It is imperative that the thermal
contacts be connected to a suitable
protection device!
 Disconnect the unit completely from the mains power
supply. Switch the mains fuse in the fuse box off.
Also make sure that the TC power circuit to the
thermal contacts is disconnected from the power
supply.
 Connect the electric cables of the ventilation box to
the terminal block in the terminal box [10] in
accordance with the wiring diagram (→ Chapter 14).
 The motor's thermal contacts are connected to
terminals, to allow combination with control contactor
or MVE 10 motor protection switch. The wiring must
be done so that switch-on cannot happen
automatically (locking). Connection of thermal
contacts to a suitable protection device is imperative.
