GB │ 6. Safety instructions
● This fan unit can be used by children
aged 8 and above, and by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or by persons with insufficient
experience or knowledge provided they are
supervised by a person responsible for their
safety, or they have been instructed about
the safe operation of the unit and can
understand the resulting risks thereof.
Children must not play with the unit.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be
carried out by children without supervision.

6.3 Operation with air-ventilated fireplaces

● Sufficient supply air intake must be ensured
during operation with air-ventilated fire-
places.

7. Installation preparations

i
Notes
● Select the installation location such that the service
door can be opened wide, so that you can get to the
impeller and clean the inside of the ventilation box.
● The ventilation box is supplied for an installation
position with the exhaust socket directed upwards.
● If the ventilation box is to be turned through 90° for
installation, the hinges and the door handle on the
service door must be adjusted. The service door is
not turned for this purpose. It stays in its original
position.
● A suitable holder must be used for wall or ceiling
mounting, in order to be able to install the ventilation
box as a floor-mounted unit. Ceiling, wall and holder
must have sufficient load-bearing capacity for the
total weight. Suitable mounting material is to be
supplied by the customer.
● If an increased build-up of condensation is expected,
the condensation run-off must be ensured. To do
this, connect a drain tube with siphon to the
condensation discharge outlet [14].
Installation with condensation run-off is only
permitted with a device installation position
where the exhaust socket is directed upwards.
Only in this case is the discharge outlet [14] at the
bottom and the secure run-off of condensation is
guaranteed.
