The NE1064TO supports copper and optical transceivers, Direct Attached Copper
(DAC) cables and Active Optical Cables (AOC).
Notes:
 This section covers the basic types of connectors that can be installed on the
switch. We recommend you to consult the
Options Catalog for the full list of supported transceivers, DACs or Active
Optical Cables cables.
The connector types listed in this section reflect only the hardware capabilities of

each port. Some options might be unavailable depending on the type of NOS
installed on the switch.

Approved RJ45 cables are supported in BASE-T RJ45 port slots.
Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 28 (QSFP28) port slots support the following
approved connector types:
40 GbE QSFP+ or 100 GbE QSFP28 optical transceivers

 40 GbE QSFP+ or 100 GbE QSFP28 DACs
40 GbE QSFP+ or 100 GbE QSFP28 Active Optical Cables

 10 GbE SFP+ copper or optical transceivers, DACs, or Active Optical Cables in
breakout adapters
 25 GbE SFP28 optical transceivers, DACs, or Active Optical Cables in breakout
adapters
QSFP28 and QSFP+ optical transceivers provide an MTP cable connector for
connecting to external ports.
SFP28 or SFP+ optical transceivers provide two fiber-optic cable connectors for
connecting to external ports.
