ZOOM Rocker Control

Zoom is used to control the IR and CCD camera zoom lenses or is used
in conjunction with the MENU, ADJ and EXIT Switches.
This rocker switch adjusts the field of view of the selected sensor.
Pressing the minus side of the switch widens the field of view, and
pressing the plus side narrows the field of view. When the system is
powered up, both the CCD and IR zooms are initialized to Wide Field Of
View. The ZOOM Rocker Switch has higher rocker knobs to allow tactile
differentiation between the Zoom and Focus switches.
The ZOOM Rocker control is used in conjunction with the MENU, ADJ
and EXIT Switches to perform the same actions as the Strain Gauge.
This control is also used in conjunction with the MENU, ADJ and EXIT
Switches to increment or decrement a field value in Date and time edit,
or a character value in Agency name edit. The ZOOM indicator is the
beam on the azimuth indicator. The beam will widen or narrow as the
camera optics are widened or narrowed (extended) to reflect the optical
position.

FOCUS Rocker Control

FOCUS Rocker Control (shifted function) - Select and sets the scan
width between 40° and 180° in 20° steps (Figure 3-8) for Auto-Scan.
Press SHIFT Switch and then FOCUS to set scan width. Shift mode
must remain on while scan width adjustments are being made. When
desired scan width is displayed press the SHIFT Switch to exit SHIFT
mode. The scan width display will turn itself off after a few seconds.
IR Camera – When in manual mode it is recommended that the operator
adjust focus after each use of the zoom.
CCD Camera – When in manual mode, proper focus is achieved by
adjusting the continuous zoom switch to the Narrow Field Of View
(NFOV) and focusing on the target. As the zoom is moved to the Wide
Field Of View (WFOV), the target should remain in focus.
Pull Down Menu – The FOCUS Rocker control is used in conjunction
with the MENU, ADJ and EXIT Switches to move between fields in Date
and time edit and among character positions in Agency name edit.
Valid on Day of Issue only.
Document will not be updated
FOCUS is used to focus the IR and CCD cameras, pull down
menus and to set the scan width area for the Auto-Scan. If
the selected sensor is configured for manual focus, then this
rocker switch will adjust the focus of that sensor.
