3. On each System Node, connect your fiber optic cable for Public Network 1 to the SFP+ transceiver in
SFP+ Port 3 (N3), and your fiber optic cable for Public Network 2 to the SFP+ transceiver in SFP+
Port 1 (N1).
5.3.4 Run the pre-login configuration wizard (multi-site version)
The pre-login configuration wizard connects the System Networks at all three sites.
At each site, the configuration wizard prompts you for the local network settings you predetermined
through your ActiveScale X100 Site Survey. Please have this document available for your reference. Each
site must use the same [multi-site] ActiveScale X100 Site Survey. After verifying network settings, the
configuration wizard running at the primary site communicates with the secondary sites through their
System Network 1 IP addresses and orchestrates the overall configuration process. You can designate any
site as the primary site.
You can have a system administrator present at each site concurrently, or you can run the configuration
wizard sequentially at each secondary site and then lastly at the primary site. The disadvantage of the
second approach is that if there is a mistake at a secondary site, you have to go back onsite to fix it.
