Front operator panel replacement
The front operator panels is in the lower compute tray that is accessed from the front of the server.
Remove the front operator panel
The front operator panel is in the lower compute tray that is accessed from the front of the server. After
removing the lower tray, disconnect the front operator panel cable and remove the operator panel.

CAUTION:
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the
electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To
remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the
power source.

Make sure that all server power cords are disconnected from their power sources before performing
this procedure.
Before you remove the front operator panel:
1. Remove the front cover. See "Remove the front cover" on page 131.
2. Remove the compute tray. See "Remove a compute tray" on page 115.
3. If an upper system board or system board filler is installed in the tray, remove it. See "Remove a system
board" on page 109.
4. Remove the lower fan cage. See "Remove a fan cage (lower tray)" on page 123.
Complete the following steps to remove the front operator panel.
