After you remove the compute tray:
• If you are replacing the compute tray as part of a maintenance operation, remove all of the following
components from the tray; then, place them on a static-protective surface or install them on the new
compute tray:
– System boards (see "System board replacement" on page 109)
– Fan cages (see "Fan cage replacement" on page 121)
– Storage interposer (see "Storage interposer replacement" on page 226)
– RAID card (see "RAID/HBA card replacement" on page 200)
– Hard disk drive backplane (see "Hard disk drive backplane replacement" on page 139)
– Hard disk drives and fillers (see "Hot-swap drive replacement" on page 147)
– Cables (see "Internal cable routing" on page 40)
• If you are instructed to return the compute tray, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging
materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

Install a compute tray

Install a compute tray by inserting it in the front of the chassis, pushing it in until it stops, and closing the
release levers.
