Configuring TLS in Avaya IX
About this task
With TLS, network devices can communicate securely by using certificates. TLS provides device
authentication and communications encryption.
This configuration is available only if your administrator enables the advanced settings for users.
Procedure
1. Do one of the following:
• On the endpoint main menu, click Configure.
• On the web interface, click Administrator Settings.
2. On the endpoint, click Advanced.
The default PIN for Advanced settings on the endpoint is 1234.
If your administrator configured a PIN to gain access to the advanced settings on the
endpoint, Avaya IX

CU360 displays the Advanced window.
3. Click Protocols > SIP > Advanced.
4. Configure the following fields:
• Transport Outbound Call
• Use TLS
• Verify Certificate
