4-19 FERTILIZER – RATE ADJUSTMENT
4-19.1
The dry fertilizer rate is adjusted by
changing sprocket ratios for each section.
See Figure 4-28 for desired settings. For
best results use clean dry fertilizer, free of
clumps, or foreign material.
IMPORTANT
THE OPERATOR MUST VERIFY ACTUAL FER-
TILIZER OUTPUT BEFORE PLANTING.

Example: using a dry fertilizer with a density of 70 lbs/ft
50 x .93 = 46.5 (use a setting from the rate chart nearest 46.5 lbs/acre)
