4-13.6 Battery Replacement
a. The battery operated acre counter uses 3
AA batteries. The batteries should last be-
tween 5 and 10 years. The acre counter will
last much longer than that. Eventually, you
will have to replace the batteries. The acre
counter will display "LObAt" when the batter-
ies require replacement. Remove the acre
counter from the implement and undo the 4
screws on the back of the case (See Figure
4-18).This will separate the housing from the
rear plate. Replace the batteries with 3 high
quality AA alkaline batteries.

IMPORTANT
The acremeter is used to count shaft
rotations and for a given width calculate field
acres and total acres. Factors that can influ-
ence readings are mud on drive wheels, low
tire pressure, ground conditions, and turning
direction.
The magnetic pickup distance between
the switch and magnet should not exceed
1/8". Distances greater than 1/8" will not pro-
vide accurate monitoring.
