Fertilizer – Rate Adjustment
1. The dry fertilizer rate is adjusted by changing
sprocket ratios for each section. See Figure 4-18 for
desired settings. For best results use clean dry
fertilizer, free of clumps, or foreign material.
IMPORTANT
The operator must verify actual fertilizer output
before planting.
Density
Conversion Factor
Example: using a dry fertilizer with a density of 70 lbs/ft
50 x .93 = 46.5 (use a setting from the rate chart nearest 46.5 lbs/acre)

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
2. The fertilizer chart is based upon average size dry
fertilizer with a density of 65 lbs per cubic foot. If
using a fertilizer with a different density, apply the
following conversion factors, and use the closest rate
for application (See Table 4-1.)
