and control volume, bass, & treble. If the room is a home theater room, the keypad
should only control the zone's source selection since the SSD-66 has not yet been
connected to the WH-3000.
Repeat this section until all keypads are operating on the correct room. If you are experiencing
a problem with a problem with any keypad as you add it to the system you can follow the
trouble shooting steps as described in section O.
Step S - Programming the Delta-88 for Special Cards or No
When using the VSM-8 Video Switching Card, RBM-50 Room Bass Amp Card, or if a slot on
the Delta-88 has no card at all, special programming will need to be done on the Delta-88. This
programming may have been done at ADA but if it needs to be changed, this section details
the specific programming details.
Each room button on the Delta-88 has a specific reference which tells it what it is. As discussed
in previous sections, a room can be setup as a home theater using an SSD-66 or strictly as an
audio card using the RAM-50 for volume control in addition to source selection. The room
button corresponds to a card slot inside the Delta-88 and since this space could be empty (no
card at all), a bass amp card (which slaves off of another room card), or a video switching card,
the Delta-88 will need to be told what is being done by the space.
Several addresses exist and the ones of most interest are:
"AUDIO CARD"
Used when a room is using a RAM-50 for amp/preamp.
"AUDIO/SSD66"
Used when a room is using a SSD-66 Surround Decoder.
"VIDEO CARD"
Used when a room button (card slot) houses the VSM-8.
"BASS ROOM 1"
Used when a room button (card slot) houses a Bass Amp Card which
tracks Room #1's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 2"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #2's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 3"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #3's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 4"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #4's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 5"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #5's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 6"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #6's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 7"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #7's RAM-50.
"BASS ROOM 8"
The room card holds a Bass Amp Card which tracks Room #8's RAM-50.
To change a room buttons address (card space's card type), follow these steps.
1
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
2
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
