Delta System Installation (cont.)
You will need to reenter the code by following Step 1 in this section again.
5
When the correct room name has been displayed (the room name only appears for a
moment and then the display indicates the room's status), press the << button. The
display will read "ROOM CHANGED" and then the keypad will reset to its normal
operational mode. At this point the keypad should be able to select sources and control
volume, bass, & treble for the correct room. If the room is a home theater room, the
keypad should only control the zone's source selection since the SSD-66 has not yet been
connected to the WH-3000.
4 - If the Keypad Is Not Operating the Delta At All
If the MC-3000 does not respond correctly, not operating any zone at all, it will need to be
programmed first from the Delta-88. This programming tells the keypad what system it is
operating (Delta System), if the room is a home theater operating with an SSD-66, and what
sources the keypads buttons are controlling (MT-3000 tuner module, PCT-8 port number, etc.).
Some exceptions exist as the Delta-88 cannot centrally program all system functions, primarily,
telling the keypad what room it is controlling. If you have correctly programmed the Delta-
88 as described under "Programming the Delta-88", you will need to download the Delta-88's
system and source information to the keypad following these steps. If the room address is
incorrect (only two options will work-a stereo audio room or a home theater), these steps will
permit you to change the room address to a correct one and program the keypad at the same
time.
1
Make certain that the Delta-88s and keypad are connected to the WH-3000. In order for
the Delta-88 to download information to keypads, they must all be connected to the
WH-3000. Again, since it is best to build a system, one room at a time, only one keypad
should be connected to the WH-3000 at this time.
2
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
3
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
Mode) unless the selected Delta-88 room is on to a source. If the source display reads
the words "RELEASE" and a number, press a source button to turn on that room.
4
Repeatedly press the Delta-88's PRESET button until "MODE 2 SETUP" appears in the
source LED readout.
5
Press the ROOM 1 button. The source display will indicate the preprogrammed status
of the that room (i.e. "AUDIO CARD", "AUDIO/SSD-66", "VIDEO CARD", "BASS
ROOM 1", "FUTURE CARD", etc.). For more information on room addresses you can
also see "Step S".
