Delta-88 IR Remote Configuration

The Delta-88's front panel IR receiver can be turned on or off by software control. In most cases, it
will not matter whether it is on or off, however, in some installations, it may be preferred to turn the
IR off. This will be useful if the Delta-88 is receiving IR interference from motion sensors,
incandescent lamps, or even direct sunlight. As discussed in other sections of this manual, IR
interference may affect the system's ability to respond. If operation seems sluggish, you may wish
to turn off the front panel IR receiver on each Delta-88 in your system.
1
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
2
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
Mode) unless the selected Delta-88 room is on to a source. If the source display reads
the words "RELEASE" and a number, press a source button to turn on that room.
3
Repeatedly press the Delta-88's PRESET button until "MODE 2 SETUP" appears in the
source LED readout.
4
Press the ENHAN STEREO button and the source display will show either "FRONT IR
ON" (the Delta-88's IR receiver is on) or "FRONT IR OFF" (the Delta-88's IR receiver is
off).
5
Press and hold the ENHAN STEREO button and release the button only when the
desired setting is on the source display.
6
Press the LABEL button to exit the Delta-88's programming mode or simply let the
Delta-88 time out of its programming mode.
