Delta-88 Room Activation Option

Each zone is capable of memorizing one volume preset. Actually this preset is an acoustical preset
(discussed later under Delta-88 Acoustical Settings) and includes volume, bass, treble, & balance
levels; loudness on or off; and stereo enhancement on or off.
You can program the Delta-88 to permit the zones to engage to their last acoustical settings (the
acoustic levels when the room was turned off) or to their programmed acoustical preset. While some
dealers prefer having a zone come on to its last volume (etc.) levels, some dealers prefer that a zone
come on to a preset level. This preset level can then be adjusted once the room is on. The argument
for the latter option prevents rooms which may have been blasting at high levels when they were
turned off, from coming on too loud to an unsuspecting user.
While each zone has its own Preset, the option of using the presets when a room is turned on or
having the room come on the last settings used will affect all zones. You cannot have zone one come
on to a preset level and have zone two come on to its last volume used. It is either one or the other.
The preset turn on level will not effect any zone that has an SSD-66 Surround Sound Decoder. These
zones will turn on to the last volume setting used prior to turning the zone off.

1
Turn the Delta-88 on by pressing any room button followed by a source button.
Remember that power up takes a few moments.
2
Press and hold the Delta-88's LABEL button until its LED is lit. Once in the label mode
you will have five seconds to move to the next step before the Delta-88 automatically
times out of its programming mode. If the LABEL button's LED is off, you are no longer
in the program mode. You will not be able to access the Label Mode (Programming
Mode) unless the selected Delta-88 room is on to a source. If the source display reads
the words "RELEASE" and a number, press a source button to turn on that room.
3
Repeatedly press the Delta-88's PRESET button until "MODE 1 LABEL" appears in the
source LED readout.
4
Press the LOUDNESS button and the source display will show either "ON=LAST" (the
Delta-88's will turn rooms on to their last used acoustical settings) or "ON=PRESET" (the
Delta-88's will turn rooms on to their programmed acoustical preset).
5
Press and hold the LOUDNESS button and release the button only when the desired
setting is on the source display.
6
Press the LABEL button to exit the Delta-88's programming mode or simply let the
Delta-88 time out of its programming mode.
