Connect the main battery to the KOLIBRI.
4.
LED flashes. You will hear ascending tones,
5.
monitoring the activation. Next, you will hear
single tones for the recognized number of
battery cells (see 4.1).
After hearing the cell count, push the button on
6.
the KOLIBRI (on the shrinking tube versions you
can find the button on the back, near to the
sensor slot), then you will hear three descending
tones and the mode.
KOLIBRI starts counting the modes, for each
7.
mode there is the equal number of single beeps
(mode 1 - one beep, mode 2 - two beeps etc.),
the LED flashes in correspondence with the
beep number.
After the first single tone mode 1 is reached,
8.
move the throttle channel to full throttle position
(100%). The LED lights and the ESC confirms
first the throttle position with three ascending
tones, then the mode with a single beep.
Before disconnecting the battery from the
ESC, it's essential to await the confirmation
(step 8), otherwise the KOLIBRI sees an
!
incomplete programming and will lock
preventing any potential issues by this and
will flash 9 times to indicate the mode
programming has not been accepted!
7.2 Mode 2 - Glider mode (with brake)
Mode 2 is characterized by complete throttle
control during the whole throttle distance.
The active (EMK) brake is adjustable via the
programming unit, in steps from 0% to 100%
(default 92%).
Low voltage shut off (deep discharge protection) is
active, therefore the motor is shut off, when the
adjusted battery low voltage is reached.
Programming mode 2:
Switch on and prepare the transmitter (as
1.
shown from 3.1 on). Throttle stick to the "motor
off" (0%) position.
Plug the ESC to the receiver (with the Master
2.
cable). Connect the cable to the receiver's port
(that is designated for throttle function). Then
switch on your transmitter.
Connect the motor cables to the motor.
3.
Connect the main battery to the KOLIBRI.
4.
LED flashes. You will hear ascending tones,
5.
monitoring the activation. Next, you will hear
single tones for the recognized number of
20
battery cells (see 4.1).
After hearing the cell count, push the button on
6.
the KOLIBRI (on the shrinking tube versions
you can find the button on the back, near to the
sensor slot), then you will hear three
descending tones and the mode.
KOLIBRI starts monitoring the modes, for each
7.
mode there is the equal number of single
beeps, the LED flashes in correspondence with
the beep number.
After 2 single beeps mode 2 is reached, slide
8.
the throttle channel to full throttle position
(100%).
The ESC confirms first the throttle position with
9.
a single beep. To program a separate motor-off
position, slide the throttle stick to the desired
position (e.g. 50%), the KOLIBRI confirms with
an ascending triad of sounds and the mode
with 2 single beeps. Now there are 3 positions
programmed: full throttle (e.g. 100%), motor off
(e.g. 50%) and brake (automatically at throttle
minimum). If no motor off position is set, the
KOLIBRI brakes when selecting the minimum
position.
Before disconnecting the battery from the
!
ESC, it's essential to await the confirmation
(step 8), otherwise the KOLIBRI sees an
incomplete programming and will lock
preventing any potential issues by this and
will flash 9 times to indicate the mode
programming has not been accepted!

7.3 Mode 3 - Motor flight

Mode 3 is characterized by complete throttle
control during the whole throttle distance, but in
opposite to mode 2 without brake.
Under voltage slow down (deep discharge pro-
tection) is active, therefore the motor's RPM is
slowed down, when the adjusted battery discharge
voltage is reached (see 3.4).
Programming mode 3:
1. Switch on and prepare the transmitter (as
shown from 3.1 on). Throttle-/pitch throttle to the
"motor off" (0%) position.
2. Plug the ESC to the receiver (with the Master
cable). Connect the cable to the receiver's port
(that is designated for throttle function). Then
switch on your transmitter.
3. Connect the motor cables to the motor.
4. Connect the main battery to the KOLIBRI.
5.
LED flashes. You will hear an ascending triad of
sounds, monitoring the activation. Ongoing you
