HSP 137 Replacing a disk drive in a Primary Storage Shelf or an Expansion Storage Shelf

Locate the drawer the faulty drive is in and pull both orange release levers into the center. The
release levers are located at both ends of the drawer on the bottom.

Pull the drawer out to the full extension.
To remove a storage-shelf disk drive

Put on an ESD-compliant wrist strap or take other ESD-protective measures.
Note: The static discharged by human bodies can damage static-sensitive components on the
boards. When installing and maintaining the equipment, you must observe appropriate electrostatic
safety precautions to prevent personnel injuries or device damage.

Each drive has two LEDs that indicate Status and Service Action Allowed. The failed drive is
indicated by a yellow status LED and a blue Service Action Allowed LED.
