Verify that the drawer is in the Service Action Allowed mode by checking to see if the blue Drive
Drawer Status Service Action Allowed LED is lit.
Note: If the Drive Drawer Status Service Action Allowed LED is not lit, use the
command to set the storage shelf to Service Action Allowed mode. Contact Veritas Technical
Support if you cannot lit the Service Action Allowed LED. Do not proceed with the replacement
until the drawer is in the Service Action Allowed mode.

Use the slot map to verify that the failed drive is identified in the work order. If you can safely
remove the disk drive, the blue Drive Drawer Status Service Action Allowed LED is on, and the
Drive Activity LED is blue.
