Access the GUI to check the signal:
a. Open a Web browser, and in the address bar type
press Enter.
NOTE: If the address does not open the GUI, try
http://192.168.1.1.
b. Log in using the default username and password, admin/admin (Figure 5). This will
take you to the GUI home page, which opens to the System > Overview window in
the CAT4 GUI and the Status > System Info window in the CAT6/7 GUI.

c. Check the status icons: In the top row of the home window you should see some
icons (Figure 6). In the CAT4 GUI, this row is labeled Current State. In the CAT6/7 GUI,
there are 3 icons shown in green. Hover your cursor over them for text to appear.
What the text says depends on the state of the UE at that moment.
1) CAT4 Connection State and CAT6/7 "globe" icon:
2) CAT4 Signal Intensity and CAT6/7 "bars" (4G) icon:
If the Atom unit cannot detect a wireless signal, or if the signal is very weak (e.g., only 1 bar),
try moving the unit closer to a window, higher up and away from any other devices using
radio frequency, or away from objects that may be blocking the signal between the UE and
the eNB. Otherwise, contact your service provider for assistance.
NOTE: More about the meaning of the status icons is covered in

The possible connection states are Checking SIM, Scanning, Registering,
Acquiring IP, Connected, or Disconnected. If the UE is checking SIM,
scanning, registering, or acquiring an IP address, give it a few moments to
finish its connection process. Then, check if the status is Connected.
The possible states are Severe, Bad, Good, or Excellent. Check that the
signal is indicated as either Good or Excellent.
