3. Exposure Control Modes
Changing the aperture value and shutter speed combination
Program Shift
Even in Program mode, you can change the aperture value and shutter speed
combination to achieve the desired effects while maintaining the same exposure.
This function is called "Program Shift".
It enables you to, for example, reduce the area rendered sharply by decreasing the
aperture value or capture a moving subject more dynamically by slowing the shutter
speed.

While the numeric values are displayed
(approximately 10 seconds), turn the control dial to
change the value combinations.
A Program Shift indication
• To cancel Program Shift, perform either of the following
operations:
– Set the camera on/off switch to [OFF].
– Rotate the control dial until the Program Shift indication disappears.
• To compensate the exposure, adjust it with the exposure compensation dial. (>90)
Not available in these cases:
• Program Shift is not available in the following cases:
– When recording using flash
– When recording 4K pictures
– When recording with the Post Focus function
– When the ISO sensitivity is set to [
]
