One MISP chassis supports a set of four SILCs or UILCs, or a combination of SILCs and
UILCs.
Installing the MISP
1. Remove the cover from the system.
2. Remove the MISP from its shipping package and hold it by its card-locking

The Flash ROM can become corrupted if loss of power occurs during
programming of the Flash ROM. If this occurs, the Flash ROM automatically re-
initializes when the MISP is installed and powered up. The automatic re-
initialization delays the completion of the self-test, and it takes five minutes for
the LED to flash three times.
