Installation
WARNING:
Please observe the following guidelines in order to avoid
interference due to electromagnetic influences.
–
Connect a protective earth conductor (PE) of adequate cross-
section to the earth connection marked with the earth symbol
, if the Powerbox is not mounted on an earthed machine
frame.
–
Fix the connector by means of the union nut to avoid it
coming loose accidentally (e.g. by vibration).
5.1 Connecting the CP module
WARNING:
Incorrect installation can lead to errors during data exchange
between the CAN master and the connected CP modules.
Observe the max. branch line length allowed and the max.
number of CP modules allowed per branch line and for the
network.
Use the special CP cable from Festo (Type KVI-CP-1-...) to
connect CP modules.
