Pro-10 pan and tilt head

Disassembly
Ball clamp assembly
3 Remove the ball clamp assembly as follows
3.1 Unscrew and remove the bowl knob (6).
3.2 Remove three grub screws (5.2).
3.3 Unscrew the ball clamp assembly (5.1) from the pan base.
Platform
4 Remove the platform as follows
NOTE: Do not remove the slide plate assembly (1) prior to removing the platform. This will retain
the clamping and release components during removal.
4.1 If fitted, remove the camera mounting screws (1.1) and (1.2) from their stowage in the platform.
4.2 Remove two screws (4.1) and two screws (4.2) securing platform (4.3) to left-hand and right-
hand side covers. Remove platform from head.
5 To dismantle the platform
5.1 Slacken the slide plate lock knob (2) and push in the slide release (14). Pull the slide plate
assembly (1) to the rear.
5.2 Remove the slide plate release (14.2) and spring (14.1) from the underside of the platform.
5.3 Free the slide plate clamp arm (3). Remove the screw (2.1) and pull the slide plate lock knob
(2.2) off the slide clamp lock insert (2.3). Screw the lock insert out of the platform.
Centre cover
6 Remove the centre cover as follows
6.1 Carefully prise off the self-adhesive pan drag knob label (5.1).
6.2 Remove the nut (5.2) and pull the pan drag knob (5.5), washer (5.4) and bearing (5.3) off the pan
drag adjuster (Fig
6.3 Remove two screws (6.2) securing the centre cover assembly (6.3) to the centre housing (10.2)
and pull off the centre cover assembly.
