PROBABLE CAUSE
Defective speed control switch in
control head or defective contac-
tor.
Defective speed control switch or
defective contactor.
a. Defective second and/or third
speed solenoids or contactors.
b. Limit switch on mast defective
or out of adjustment.
c. Defective time delay.
Defective or open speed control
resistor.
Brake linkage over adjusted.
Defective packing in lift cylinder or
too much oil in reservoir.
Leak in suction line between the
pump and the reservoir or oil too
high.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Check for positive dc voltage at
number 1 wire on reverse con-
tactor. If not present when steer-
ing arm is in operating position
and speed control is in reverse,
speed control switch is defective.
If voltage is present, contactor is
defective.
Check for positive dc voltage at
number 2-wire on forward con-
tactor. If not present when steer-
ing arm is in operating position
and speed control is in forward
speed, control switch is defec-
tive. If voltage is present, contac-
tor is defective.
Check coils for continuity. Replace
as required.
Adjust or replace.
Replace.
Check for clean, tight connections.
Check resistor for continuity and
replace as required.
Ajust brake.
Check hydraulic oil level. Before
further troubleshooting, fill
hydraulic reservoir so that oil is
to "FULL" mark on dip stick.
Tighten all electrical connec-
tions.
Overhaul lift cylinder and install
new packing, seal, and wiper
ring.
Check oil filter. Replace if neces-
