Replacing the Fan

To replace the fan assemblies in an Extended chassis, follow the steps in

Assemblies

Figure 3-22. It is not necessary to turn off the power to replace a fan assembly.

Figure 3-22 Replacing the Fan Assembly in the Extended Chassis

Grasp corners of front panel and

pull forward to release ball studs.

Maintenance and Repair

Loosen captive screw and pull

tray out of chassis.

Insert replacement fan and

tighten captive screw.

Reinstall the front panel.
