Installing the Cable
Strain-Relief Bracket
1 Secure the bracket to the rear of the system.

Insert ends of strain relief bracket
into round holes on chassis.
b Squeeze bracket together until the
other ends fit into the elongated
holes on chassis.
2 Route all cables from the I/O modules through the two arms of the bracket
The cable strain-relief bracket is a wire-form metal bracket. This bracket
is not necessary for systems mounted on a tabletop, but it is recommended for
rack-mounted systems.
To install the cable strain-relief bracket on an 8-Slot chassis, follow these steps
(no tools are needed):
The ends of the bracket slide into four holes on the back of the chassis (see
Figure 2-6).
