2. Installation

Installation methods

There are the following 2 ways for the installation of the main part.
• Installation by attaching to the optional stand (page 21 "Installation of Optional Units")
• Installation on the wall (See "Operation manual enclosed with the wall-hanging fittings")

Precautions for installation

• During the installation, be sure not to hold the main part by the 4 corners (resin part). Hold only the
aluminum frame or the connector parts of resin sections and the aluminum frame.
• Be sure not to apply load to the sensor reception section on the 4 corners at the front of the main
part.
• When attaching and removing the covers, be sure to turn the screws while they are standing
vertically (there is a possibility that the screw thread breaks).
• During sensor position adjustment, if a screw is turned excessively, it may come off. Be sure to work
while looking at the screen of the adjusting tool.
• When installing the main part on a wall, fixings that conform to the VESA standard are needed.
• When installing or removing the wall-hanging fixing or when moving the main part, two persons or
more must always do this work.
• The VESA standard fixings to attach should be corresponding to 400 x 200 mm.
• Be sure to use the fixings with which there is 6 cm or more clearance between the fixing area of the
main part and the fixings attached to the ceiling or the wall.
• The weight of the main part is about 50 kg. Use fittings that can hold four times the mass of the main
part.
• Install the wall-hanging fixings in a place that can hold four times of the mass of the main part (such
as a wall or a pillar made of concrete).
• For installation of wall-hanging fixings, use M8 screws. Be sure not to use the screw holes other
than those for VESA on the back surface of the main part.
• Recommended wall-hanging fixings: Ergotron TM angle adjustable wall mounting (part No.:
60-601-003 / 60-603-003)
