7 MAINTENANCE

Ordinary maintenance

7.1
WARNING!
Before any maintenance operation, stop the engine (3).
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed in a CAMPA-
GNOLA S.r.l. Authorized Service Point.
Users can perform maintenance operations.
7.1.1

General

Before any maintenance operation:
Turn off the ON-OFF switch (10).
Wear safety gloves.
7.1.2

Adding oil

If the oil level drops, refill the gearbox with SAE 30 oil.
WARNING!
Do not over-fill, as oil may leak out of the shaft output.
7.1.3

Replacing the hook rubber rolls

Use a screwdriver to remove the worn-out rubber rolls (29). Replace them by putting the new rolls onto the teeth (27) of
the hook (24).
7.1.4

Cleaning

Clean the tool with a cloth and compressed air regularly.
Keep the handgrips (5) and (17) free from oil and gasoline.
7.1.5

Lubrication of the guides

Loosen the 6 screws (Fig. C) and remove the side protection device (13)
Grease using the specific cylinder, inserting the pipe inside the indicated holes (21)
Remount the side protection device (13)
Recommended grease: Lube Spray Grease - Campagnola (Fig. D).
7.1.6

Set-aside

Carefully follow the maintenance and safety indications previously given.
Thoroughly clean the tool.
Drain the fuel out of the engine tank (14) and screw the tank plug (15) again.
Remove the spark plug (39) and pour a bit of oil into the cylinder through the hole (35). Turn the engine shaft a few ti-
mes with the starter lever (2) to distribute the oil and then re-assemble the spark plug (39).
Wrap the engine in a plastic pack-cloth.
Store the tool in a dry area, preferably not directly on the ground and away from heat sources.

All maintenance operations which are not specified in this manual are to be carried out by an authorized service
point. Use original spare parts only to get a long-lasting tool top performance.

Extraordinary maintenance

7.2.1
General
Before carrying out any maintenance operations:
Turn off the ON-OFF switch (10).
Wear safety gloves.
WARNING!
Any extraordinary maintenance operation shall be performed by a CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service Point.
