Front Panel Configuration

The 420 Plus indicator can be configured using a series of menus accessed through the indicator front panel when
the indicator is in setup mode. Table 1-1 summarizes the functions of each of the main menus.

Four front panel keys are used as directional keys to navigate through the menus in setup mode (see Figure 1-2).

by the key when navigating through the setup menus.

Configure grads, zero tracking, zero range, motion band, overload, tare function, sample rate,
and digital filtering parameters.
Set format of primary and secondary units, display rate.
Calibrate indicator. See Section 1.0 on page 27 for calibration procedures.
Configure EDP and printer serial ports.
Set power-up mode, regulatory mode, and consecutive number values.
Set print format used for gross and net tickets. See Section 1.0 on page 35 for more
information.
Configure Setpoints and digital outputs.
Assign digital input functions.
Configure analog output module. Used only if analog output option is installed.
Display installed software version number.
