2. Proceed as follows:
– Remove the download key from the VDO SmartTerminal if you do not
wish to view any further information.
The data is stored on the VDO SmartTerminal.
– Tap on [OPEN DOWNLOADKEY MENU] if you wish to receive further in-
formation to the downloaded data.
The data is stored on the VDO SmartTerminal and automatically moves to
the next dialog with the following areas:
Information
Description
Driver
Displays current information to driving times etc.
This is only displayed if the download key contains data
from driver cards.
Vehicle informa-
Lists the drivers that have used each vehicle

Data transfer
Data transfer in the network or with local connection to a
computer
If the VDO SmartTerminal is integrated into a network (via LAN or WLAN) or
directly connected to a computer via USB cable/crossed network cable, the
downloaded data is automatically retrieved and stored in the specified down-
load directory; see è
Data transfer with USB stick
If you are using the VDO SmartTerminal in standalone mode, you must use a
USB stick to transfer the stored data onto a PC.
The USB stick must be configured for data transfer: è
• When you insert the USB stick into the VDO SmartTerminal, the data is
automatically transferred onto the USB stick.
